DIRECTV STREAM is Adding Auto-Extend to Recordings & Making More Sports-Centered Updates

DIRECTV STREAM has heard its customers and is making some highly requested updates based on your feedback. Beginning this week, subscribers will see three new features geared toward sports fans.

First, the streaming service is introducing Team Recordings. DIRECTV STREAM subscribers will be able to select their favorite teams and easily set up their DVR to record the entire season. You’ll never miss a minute of a game with this new feature. Team Recordings will start with NBA, MLB, and NHL. The feature will roll out to the DIRECTV STREAM Device, Roku, Smart TVs, Fire TV and Tizen starting this week with more devices coming mid-April.

Next up is a feature live TV subscribers have been waiting for. DIRECTV STREAM is introducing Auto-Extend for live sports. Since game end times can change for any number of reasons, Auto-Extend will keep recordings going so you won’t miss any of the action if a game goes long.

And finally, Game Tiles are being added. Subscribers will see updated team vs. team game tiles to easily find the game you’re looking for. You’ll also have more control over live score updates so you can easily check in on what’s happening in other games, or hide scores completely to avoid spoilers.

With a full slate of sports channels, including more RSNs than any other live TV streaming service, and the addition of these new features, DIRECTV STREAM is a great option for sports fans who don’t want to miss out on watching their favorite teams. To get started with $10 off per month for your first three months, sign up for DIRECTV STREAM here.
