DIRECTV STREAM Adds KJZZ-TV, Giving Local Utah Jazz Fans Access to its Games

DIRECTV STREAM just got a lot more attractive for Utah Jazz fans.

The streaming version of the satellite TV service added KJZZ-TV, an independent station owned by Sinclair that serves the Salt Lake City market. DIRECTV STREAM customers will be able to catch tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors on the station.

The Utah Jazz made its move to over-the-air television in June, ending a decade and a half stretch when it was on AT&T SportsNet, a regional sports network that has since disappeared or been dismantled under Warner Bros. Discovery. The move to a broadcast station was greeted warmly by Jazz fans, with less and less of them able to catch the games because of cord cutting and declining willingness to pay for RSNs.

KJZZ was already on the satellite TV service, but now DIRECTV STREAM has caught up as well. The company has been steadily working to provide parity between its satellite and streaming services.
