DIRECTV NOW’s DVR Beta Will Be Offline This Evening For System Upgrades

For the second time this week DIRECTV NOW is emailing beta testers to let them know about back-end upgrades that are happening tonight. These grades are likely focused on improving the back-end of DIRECTV NOW DVR in an effort to improve streaming and recording.

Here is the email DIRECTV NOW sent out just minutes ago:

Hello Testers,

This afternoon and throughout the evening we will be upgrading a few things.  During this time the record functionality will not be available.  If you had previously scheduled recordings during this time those programs will not record.  You will be able to watch your previously recorded programs at this time.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks again for testing along with us.

DIRECTV NOW Beta Team

Hopefully, these upgrades will bring noticeable improvement to the DIRECTV NOW DVR beta as we get closer to launch. If you notice any changes please reach out to Cord Cutters News and let us know.

Once again thank you to the Cord Cutters News readers who sent in the tips. Your support makes this site possible.
