DIRECTV NOW Working on a Rush Fix For the Fire TV App

Today the DIRECTV NOW app for the Fire TV was updated. Sounds like good news, right? Well it seems to have created video playback issues that are causing stuttering on the app.

When trying to watch DIRECTV NOW, many users are reporting a lot of stuttering with the video that is new. This seems to be showing up on random channels and according to our readers seems to be a widespread issue.

DIRECTV NOW is telling users who message about the issue that it is aware of the issue. It goes on to say it is working on a rush fix for the Fire TV to solve the problem.

Unfortunately there is no way to really avoid this update if you do not already have it. Fire TVs will automatically update your apps at random. The best thing you can do is just wait for the update with the fix.

This update does not seem to add anything new but was included back end fixes.

Other players such as Roku, Apple TV, and others do not seem to be having any issues with the DIRECTV NOW app.
