DIRECTV NOW Will Soon Stream on Your TV Over AT&T Wireless (No Home Wi-Fi Needed)

It looks like AT&T Wireless will soon let their subscribers stream DIRECTV NOW on their TV over AT&T Wireless. That will allow AT&T Wireless customers with no home Internet to still enjoy DIRECTV NOW on their big screen.

According to Android Authority, AT&T and Motorola are getting ready to launch a new Moto Mod for their Motorola smartphones that will allow you to cast DIRECTV NOW to your big screen TV and stream it from the AT&T network.

All you will need to do is plug in a wireless Internet stick called the AT&T Mobile TV Cast, and your Motorola phone will instantly be able to cast DIRECTV NOW to your TV and stream it using your AT&T Wireless Internet. (Note: DIRECTV NOW does not count against your data cap.)

According to reports, this will be easy with simple plug and play, so no set up is needed. Once the device is plugged into your TV, you can instantly start watching content from your phone.

You also will be able to continue using your phone as it’s casting to your TV. You will even be able to use the new AT&T Mobile TV Cast to mirror your phone to your TV including casting local media.

AT&T has made no official announcement about the new AT&T Mobile TV Cast, but Android Authority has a good track record of breaking stories like this in the past.
