DIRECTV NOW Wants to Know What You Think

Worried couple reading a letter sitting on a couch in the living room at homeThis week we learned that AT&T has plans to not only redo the back end of DIRECTV NOW but also to remake the user interface with a brand new app. Now it seems it wants your feedback on how it should improve it.

Following a meeting with investors and AT&T Entertainment Group execs, Fritzsche reported AT&T is working on ways to improve the user experience. The carrier remains committed to providing consumers with a “rules free” video experience, she said, and is expected to launch a new platform this year that will include an even better user interface.

“While the OTT video space is indeed competitive, a key differentiation for DIRECTV NOW is the ability to integrate with wireless and/or broadband with the added benefit of a bundled discount a customer gets by combining products,” Fritzsche said. “This should improve the overall retention of these customers to AT&T services.”

Yesterday DIRECTV NOW started sending out long, detailed surveys to a random group of subscribers asking questions about almost every aspect of DIRECTV NOW and asking for feedback.

If you want to give feedback about DIRECTV NOW make sure to check your email. (Also check your spam folder because you never know if it will end up in there.)

Did you get the survey? Was there any interesting questions you thought hinted at something DIRECTV NOW was working on? Leave us a comment and let us know.
