DIRECTV NOW Updates Its Roku Help Page (After Missing Launch Target)

It’s official. AT&T missed the first quarter 2017 goal to bring DIRECTV NOW to Roku players. (We reported it would last week.)

Yet AT&T wants DIRECTV NOW customers to know it is still working on it. Last week it quietly updated its forum help post about DIRECTV NOW and Roku. In the post it clearly tells subscribers that the Roku app is coming soon.

Here is what its forum post titled “Enjoy DIRECTV NOW on Roku” says:

While we know many of you are waiting for the release of the DIRECTV NOW Roku app (and it IS coming soon), we want to still give you ways to enjoy our #TVFreedom. Did you know you can stream from 20+ network apps using your DIRECTV NOW credentials on your Roku? DIRECTV NOW subscribers can enjoy some great on-demand programs and movies: Network sites and apps full list.

We are working with ROKU to ensure a smooth launch. We’ll share the good news as soon we’re ready.

AT&T wants DIRECTV NOW subscribers to know it is still working on the Roku app and plan to release it soon. Hopefully it will be sooner than later that Roku owners will be able to enjoy DIRECTV NOW.
