Updated: DIRECTV NOW Adds The NFL Network

The imaginary stadium is modelled and rendered.

Update: DIRECTV NOW has removed the NFL Network from its app after being live for a few hours.

Today DIRECTV NOW readded the NFL Network to their lineup. This news comes after DIRECTV NOW dropped the NFL Network a few weeks ago saying its contract ended with the NFL

AT&T’s website still says that the NFL Network contract has expired:

Our rights to provide the NFL Network in your TV lineup have expired. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

The NFL Network and RED ZONE CHANNEL® remain available to all fans on DIRECTV. However, as we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry those channels on U-verse and DIRECTV NOW.

AT&T dropped the NFL Network as part of a push to get the NFL to agree to keep NFL Sunday Ticket as an exclusive to DIRECTV. The NFL said AT&T gave them no warning that they planned to drop the NFL Network from DIRECTV NOW. NFL Network returning to DIRECTV NOW could mean a new deal for NFL Sunday Ticket was reached between AT&T and the NFL.

This is breaking news and we will update this story when we learn more. It is still possible that the NFL Network on DIRECTV NOW is a mistake.
