DIRECTV NOW Officially Adds Support for 5 New Apps

Yesterday we reported that DIRECTV NOW had started to add support for apps from A&E networks. The support was slow to roll out yesterday as some devices could log in but not other devices. Now DIRECTV NOW has updated the list of apps they support today on their website to include all A&E network. Now if you go to the websites of A&E, Lifetime, History, FYI, and Viceland you can now use your DIRECTV NOW login to access on demand content from their apps.

Here are the apps it already had access to with DIRECTV NOW login:

Remember: If you have AT&T wireless and do not want DIRECTV NOW streaming to count against your data cap (if you have one) you will need to use the DIRECTV NOW app. Using apps such as WatchESPN or BTN2GO (Big 10 Network) will count against any data usage.

Access to these apps often gives you access to even more on-demand content than you get from DIRECTV NOW. This makes these apps very popular with many cord cutters.
