DIRECTV NOW is Now The Cheapest Way to Get Showtime

It looks like AT&T is continuing their push to make DIRECTV NOW the cheapest way to get premium channels. Overnight DIRECTV NOW announced the pricing for their new SHowtime add-on at just $8 a month on their site. That makes DIRECTV NOW the cheapest way to get Showtime by about a $1 vs Hulu and Amazon. That also makes DIRECTV NOW $2 cheaper than Sling TV.

Included with the $8 a month subscription is Showtime Easter and Showtime on Demand. You won’t get a live feed of every Showtime channel but they just reair what is available in the Showtime On Demand area. (At the time of this posting, we are unsure if you get access to the Showtime apps with your DIRECTV NOW login.)

Update: Yes DIRECTV NOW subscribers will get access to the Showtime app at some future date.

DIRECTV NOW has slowly been adding CBS owned and operated stations and just yesterday they added a few more CBS locals. Before yesterday though none of the other networks promised like POP and CBS Sports have appeared on DIRECTV NOW.

We have reached out to DIRECTV NOW for comment and will update this story when we learn more.
