DIRECTV NOW Announces More Device Support Is In the Works & Re-Adds Safari Support

DIRECTV NOW has slowly been adding support for new devices to make live TV streaming service even better.

Recently it added support for LeEce Android TV, and it added support for many Roku players and Roku TVs.

The following are all the devices DIRECTV NOW currently supports:

AT&T has announced that DIRECTV NOW will at some point add support for Xbox One and Chromecast on iOS. No date has been set for the new device support, but it is in the works.

Now you may have noticed that Safari is listed. Yes, it seems that DIRECTV NOW has re-added support for Safari after listing it as one of the browsers it would be ending support for. If you want to watch DIRECTV NOW on a computer, you will need to use Chrome or Safari. Firefox and Internet Explorer will no longer be supported.

At this time DIRECTV NOW has not listed any plans to add an app for Android TV. It seems it plans to rely on the built-in Chromecast support for devices such as the Nvidia Shield.
