DIRECTV NOW Adds Support For Some Smart TVs

Teenager girl with remote control laying down and watching tv eating popcorn.DIRECTV NOW has been slowly adding new features and has a long list of devices that it promises to support.

Yesterday DIRECTV NOW added one more device to that lineup—LeEco’s brand of Android TV powered smart TVs models: Super4 X65, X55, X43 Pro, and uMax85.

If you own one of these TVs, you will need to download the DIRECTV NOW app from LeEco’s app store. From there you can sign in, but new subscribers will need to use DIRECTV NOW’s website to create a new account.

DIRECTV NOW currently supports Fire TV, Apple TV 4th Generation, Android phones/tablets, iOS phones/tablets, Chromecast and Chromecast-supported devices, and web browsers.

AT&T has stated that Roku and Xbox One are both on the list to get support at a future date. There is, at this time, no official timeline for Android TV.

If you won a LeEco TV and have an AT&T Wireless Unlimited plan you can get $25 off DIRECTV NOW every month and free HBO. (That deal is good on all devices DIRECTV NOW supports.)

If you don’t own a LeEco TV AT&T is still offering a free Amazon Fire Stick if you prepay for DIRECTV NOW.
