DIRECTV NOW Adds Boomerang to Grandfathered Plans As a Permanent Addition

Last month AT&T quietly added Boomerang to grandfathered DIRECTV NOW plans for a limited time. Recently, AT&T has announced that Boomerang will now be a permanent addition to grandfathered DIRECTV NOW plans.

AT&T is taking advantage of the new Warner Bros. Entertainment owned channels to expand the DIRECTV NOW lineup. Boomerang was already on some DIRECTV NOW plans, and now it has expanded to all DIRECTV NOW grandfathered plans.

Here is the email DIRECTV NOW sent current grandfathered subscribers announcing the new addition:

Boomerang is now part of your official package. Enjoy throwback classics with plenty of fresh new animated titles. It’s the perfect way to relive Saturday mornings any day of the week. Your family will love it.

This comes as AT&T is dropping Nickjr in the Live a Little package and the NFL Network from all DIRECTV NOW packages. According to AT&T, its contract with the NFL Network ended for U-verse TV and DIRECTV NOW.
