DIRECTV announced today that Monumental Sports Network will join the MyHome Team add-on for the MySports Genre Pack.
DIRECTV launched the MyHome Team earlier this year as a $19.99 per month add-on to the MySports Genre Pack. The add-on gives users access to coverage of their local teams, where available, drawing from DIRECTV’s portfolio of around 30 regional sports networks and team channels. Monumental joins a MyHome Team lineup that now includes 18 NBA, 10 NHL, 17 MLB, and 45 of a possible 71 U.S.-based teams.
In addition to local channels, the MySports pack offers over 25 channels like ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, Golf Channel, SEC Network, TNT, and USA Network, plus major league and college conference feeds—ideal for die-hard fans craving live action. The pack also gives you access to the new ESPN Unlimited service.
“Monumental Sports Network already reaches millions of homes across the DMV, and we’re always looking for ways to make it even easier for fans to watch our live games and our other programming,” said Zach Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises
at Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE). “We’re constantly pushing to make Monumental more accessible—whether it’s enhancing the streaming experience or lowering the cost of subscriptions—because we’re fighting for our fans’ best interests. They give so much to our network and teams, and we’re committed to doing right by them.”
News of Monumental joining the DIRECTV MyHome Team add-on comes just after the network was dropped from YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV when the contracts expired on September 30. DIRECTV is now the only live TV streaming platform to carry the channel, along with the Monumental+ app.
