DIRECTV has added two more channels to its MyEntertainment genre pack. The slimmed down streaming package now offers MeTV and Heroes & Icons.
The MyEntertainment pack includes over 40 channels like A&E, Bravo, Discovery, E!, Food Network, FX, Freeform, FYI, HGTV, Lifetime, Oxygen, Syfy, The HISTORY Channel, TLC, and Vice TV. It bundles Disney+ and Hulu Basic and Max Basic with ads, giving users a ton of entertainment for $34.99 per month.
Here’s a little more about the two new channels included in the pack:
MeTV: Memorable Entertainment Television, or MeTV, launched in 2005, brings viewers the best in classic television—comedies like M*A*S*H, The Love Boat, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners and The Odd Couple; dramas such as Perry Mason, The Mod Squad, The Rockford Files and Columbo; great westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman andThe Big Valley; sci-fi classics like Star Trek, Lost In Space and The Twilight Zone—and more.
Heroes & Icons: H&I launched in 2014, primarily airs classic television series from the 1950s through the 1990s, with a focus on dramatic and action-oriented programming including classic police shows such as Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue, 21 Jump Street and The Commish. Weekdays, strap in for a different dramatic TV series experience each day with the H&I DayShift. Sunday through Friday nights, H&I boldly goes where no network has gone before with “All Star Trek”, featuring each original live action Star Trek TV series.
DIRECTV launched the Genre packs in January 2025 and has been adding more packs and channels to the lineup since then. Here’s what you’ll get with the other packs:
- MyNews ($39.99/month): Targeting the information-hungry, this pack delivers over 10 national news channels—CNN, CNBC, Fox News Channel, MSNBC—plus select local affiliates where available. It’s a streamlined option for staying abreast of U.S. and global events without sports or entertainment clutter.
- MiEspañol ($34.99/month): With over 60 Spanish-language channels, including ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, Nat Geo Mundo, Telemundo, and Univision, this pack celebrates Hispanic culture and sports. ViX Premium with Ads will soon be added free, making it a robust choice for bilingual households.
- MySports ($69.99/month): Launched in January and upgraded today with ESPN+, this sports-centric pack offers over 25 channels like ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, Golf Channel, SEC Network, TNT, and USA Network, plus major league and college conference feeds—ideal for die-hard fans craving live action.
- MyKids ($19.99/month): MyKids is a family friendly package with 10+ channels, including Paramount’s Nickelodeon suite, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and more. The package also includes Disney+.
