DIRECTV is adding five new channels to its streaming lineup, but only for some subscribers.
Following the addition of seven new ESPN+ live sports channels for satellite customers, DIRECTV is now adding as many as five Peacock Games channels for subscribers who sign up for Peacock through their DIRECTV subscription. These channels are available for both streaming and satellite customers.
The first Peacock Games channels hit the service last night and feature college basketball, with more set to launch in the future, around upcoming events. The channels will include major Big Ten and Big East college basketball, top English Premier League action, and other significant live sports events.
Upcoming events on NBC and Peacock that could be featured include the Winter Olympics from Milan and Cortina, Italy on February 6-22, Super Bowl LX on February 8, and the 75th Anniversary NBA All-Star Game on February 15.
Subscribers with the Peacock premium channel add-on will find the new channels on their guide, immediately after channel 619.
DIRECTV subscribers can sign up for discounted access to Peacock and these additional channels for $10.99 per month by going to their accounts and choosing premium add-ons.
