Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Returns With Ryan Seacrest and Two New Co-Hosts

Singer Rita Ora and actress Jeannie Mai have been selected as the new co-hosts joining Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest this year. The pair takes the torch from former co-hosts Liza Koshy and Ciara.

This comes after ABC and Dick Clark Productions last month extended its agreement for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest for five more years through Jan 1, 2029.

Ryan Seacrest will be joined by Rita Ora, reporting live from Times Square, and actress Jeannie Mai, covering the festivities from a Hollywood party, according to Variety. Also attending the biggest event to ring in the new year is returning co-host singer Dayanara Torres, who provides Spanish language coverage from Peurto Rico’s Convention Center.

ABC was not immediately available to confirm.

In addition to switching up hosting duties, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is also cutting coverage from New Orleans, marking the first time the show hasn’t filmed the countdown in central time since 2017. This is one of two deals Dick Clark Productions has finalized this month, having secured a deal with CBS for the Golden Globe Awards in 2024.

Dick Clark Productions, owned by Penske, also hosts other live events, including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, So You Think You Can Dance, and the Streamy Awards.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve has been the most-watched New Year’s Eve special in the U.S. for the past 30 years and has been on the air since 1972. Seacrest joined former host Dick Clark as a co-host in 2005 and permanently took over hosting duties after Clark died in 2012. More than 13.8 million viewers tuned in to catch the party last year, jumping up to 17.9 million in the midnight quarter-hour, according to ABC.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest airs live on ABC on December 31 starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. Musical guests and other appearances filling a five-and-a-half-hour block wrapping up the year will be announced at a later date.
