DC Entertainment Is Launching a Streaming Service

Are you a fan of DC shows such as Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, and classic Batman and Robin? DC is hoping fans of its classic and new shows will pay for a DC Entertainment streaming service.

This week The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that DC Entertainment has started work on an on-demand subscription streaming service. The goal is to cash in on fans of great classic and new DC shows.

The service is expected to launch in 2018, and it is a little unclear what content will be included. The CW is home to many popular DC shows such as the Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. Currently the CW already makes these show available for free the next day on a range of devices. DC Entertainment did not confirm whether the CW shows will be part of the new streaming service.

Other details, such as device support and price, have also not been disclosed. Though we are about a year away from the service going live, it is possible they also do not know what they will support at launch.

DC has recently turned into a powerhouse with a long list of hit shows on the CW network. The question now is can DC Entertainment streaming service hold up against a growing list of competitors.
