Dave Chapelle is Coming Back to Netflix with a New Comedy Special

Dave Chapelle’s new comedy special, Sticks & Stones, will be available on Netflix beginning August 26.

In a recently released trailer for the special, Chapelle doesn’t make any jokes. In fact, he doesn’t say anything. Instead, Morgan Freeman narrates while Chapelle wanders through salt flats. The trailer for Sticks & Stones is below.

Warning: there’s strong language, as you’d expect from a Dave Chapelle comedy special.

Here’s how Netflix describes Sticks & Stones:

Unflinching and boundary-pushing, Dave gives his provocative perspective on the tidal wave of celebrity scandals, the opioid crisis, and more — in trademarked Chappelle fashion.

Chapelle created The Chapelle Show in 2003 for Comedy Central. He was nominated for numerous Emmy awards and won his first 2017 for hosting Saturday Night Live. His previous Netflix specials have also earned him Grammy awards in 2018 and 2019, along with a second Emmy.

According to Hip Hop Wired, the comedian makes $20 million per special. This is his fifth special to air on Netflix.
