Dabl The OTA TV Network Is Getting a New New Lineup As Paramount Changes Its Focus

Dabl, the free over-the-air (OTA) TV network, first launched in September of 2019. Owned by CBS at the time and now Paramount, the network focuses on reality programming from CBS and other partners with shows like Hotel Hell, House Doctor, Martha Stewart Living, and other popular lifestyle shows. Now, the network looks like it is about to get a drastic makeover and focus change.

According to the schedule posted on the network’s website on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 6 am Eastern, the network will change from airing reality lifestyle programs to airing programs like The Parkers, Sister Sister, Girlfriends, and Moesha. With a few exceptions for shows like Animal Rescue and Wild Times at the San Diego Zoo, most of the schedule after the 29th of December is focused on programs like Sister Sister and Moesha.

Currently, Dabl describes itself as a New Lifestyle Network, but it’s unknown what will happen after the change.

Back in September, Dabl stopped posting on Social media, with its last post on X and Facebook coming on September 15. Paramount has not officially announced any changes but the posted schedule shows a dramatic change coming next week Friday.

Paramount declined to comment on this change.

Dabl streams for free on a variety of services, including Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, and the Dabl website. You can also find it on paid services like Paramount+, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and a collection of cable TV companies.

This news comes as earlier this year, Paramount rebranded its sister network Decades a joint venture with the Weigel Broadcasting group, to focus on comedies and away from its more classic TV focus.

There is no word yet on if the network will be renamed, but it seems that Paramount is putting no effort into the Dabl brand on social media at this time.
