CW Seed Acquires Streaming Rights for Schitt’s Creek

Free, ad-supported streaming service CW Seed has acquired streaming rights for the first four seasons of Pop TV’s Schitt’s Creek.

“We love everything about Schitt’s Creek – the comedy acting, writing as well as the show’s binge-ability. All of which are perfect for the CW Seed audience,” said Rick Haskins, Executive Vice President, The CW. “We’re excited to help expand the awareness and hope to generate new fans of this brilliant series on our free, ad-supported platform.”

Schitt’s Creek, created by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy who also star as father and son on the show, was nominated for an Emmy for best comedy. The rest of the cast includes Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson, Noah Reid, Dustin Milligan, Sarah and Karen Robinson.

The show follows a wealthy family who, in the first scene of the first episode, lose everything. The Rose family moves to Schitt’s Creek, a small town that they once bought as a joke.

Schitt’s Creek was recently renewed for a sixth and final season.

If you haven’t already discovered Schitt’s Creek, you can now binge watch the first four seasons on CW Seed before catching the final season, airing on PopTV in 2020.
