Cord Cutters Seem Excited By Hulu’s New Live TV Service

The streaming live TV market is starting to get crowded. Right now we have Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and DIRECTV NOW, which are about to be joined by four new streaming services.

In the next few months Google and Hulu along with VIDGO and FuboTV are all to release a live TV streaming service to take on the current leader Sling TV. Which of these new services is most exciting to cord cutters?

So we asked more than 1,200 of our readers what new service they wanted to try. By a wide margin, Hulu’s new live TV service is the service cord cutters want to try.

With more than 50% of the vote, more than half of our readers said they plan to try Hulu Live. Just 19.3% said they plan to try Google’s new YouTube Live TV service. Only 4.9% of our readers said they plan to try VIDGO, a live TV streaming service that was announced at CES back in 2016.

Hulu’s lead may not be a surprise but what may be a surprise is the fact that 45% of our readers do not plan to try any new live TV service. It is likely that many of them are happy with their current live TV service or they do not have a live TV service and do not plan to get one.
