Recently Cord Cutters News surveyed over 400 of our readers asking them what the best live TV streaming service is. According to our reader, YouTube TV is by far the best live TV service with over half of all respondents saying so.
What is most interesting is not that YouTube TV at 55% but how close all the second-place services are. According to our survey, Sling TV is the second most popular service but it’s very close.
Here is how everyone voted:
- YouTube TV: 55%
- Sling TV: 12%
- Philo: 11%
- Hulu + Live TV: 10%
- Frndly TV: 3%
- Fubo: 3%
As you can see, the difference between Sling TV, Philo, and Hulu + Live TV is very small. What is maybe most interesting is Fubo is once again near the bottom at just 3%.
Increasingly sports in the main reason why most cord cutters pay for a live TV streaming service. Yet there are still many who want non-sports channels, and Philo seems to have found a strong following with that. For anyone who is happy with limited news and limited sports, Philo and Frndly TV seem to have found a strong following.
Increasing, it is likely not all of these services will survive as most are still not profitable. Now the question is which ones will survive.
