Miss the Music Channels From Cable TV? You Can Now Stream Them For Just 99 Cents. Here’s How

Music Choice subscription

Music Choice is offering a discounted subscription to its TV-based ad-free music service even if you don’t use cable – as long as you own the right television. You may not know the name Music Choice, but it’s the company that powers the music channels on most cable networks. In the past, you could only get these channels from cable TV subscriptions now anyone can have them.

If you own a VIZIO smart TV newer than 2016 or a Samsung smart TV newer than 2019, Music Choice’s website says you could subscribe to its service for just 99 cents a month, not including tax. The discount is here to stay, according to the service.

You can also use their mobile apps on iOS and Android. Music Choice says they will bring the service to more devices soon. Music Choice typically plays music and video content through its cable channel but offers a direct-to-consumer option too.

Previously, users were required to provide credentials for their cable service to access the music service, which is included in many subscription plans. It looks like this is still the case if you want to use Music Choice’s web player. The mobile app also lets you input your cable info but shows a separate sign-in option if you purchased the app directly on your smart TV.

To subscribe, search for the Music Choice app on your VIZIO or Samsung smart TV and follow the prompts.

The music platform says it plans to add support for more connected TVs in the future.

Music Choice also offers a premium tier of its service starting at $10.99 a month for one user or $15.99 a month for the family plan.
