If you are a cord cutter who loves comedy, we have great news for you. Comedy Central recently released a Roku channel that offers a ton of free full episodes and clips.
Almost every show from Comedy Central has four or five free episodes. If you have a cable login, you can access older shows on the app. You load into each show without a commercial, but there are a few during the episode. Though compared to cable TV there are only a fraction of the commercials.
Cord cutter-friendly Roku channels are becoming increasingly popular. Recently Nickelodeon released a Roku channel with over 100 free-to-play episodes and lots of clips. They join several networks like A&E that have given away free episodes on Roku for some time now.
At this time there is no word on a Fire TV or Apple TV app, but it should be expected that at least the Fire TV will get access to the app soon.
Hopefully, this will be just the start of the Viacom release of Roku channels. Maybe soon we will see an MTV or a Spike TV cord cutter-friendly Roku channel.
