Comcast Makes Last Minute Deal to Carry Marquee (And How to Watch Without Cable)

Chicago Cubs RSN Marquee Sports Network has made a last minute deal for Comcast to carry the channel, just in time for the start of the MLB’s shortened season.

“We finished our negotiations with Comcast to carry Marquee and it will be available in all Xfinity homes,” Crane Kenney, Cubs president of business operations for the Cubs told the Chicago Tribune Friday.

“It was a complicated negotiation,” said Kenney. “Usually there needs to be a catalyst…I said in January, it was likely either going to be the beginning of spring training or the beginning of the regular season as the catalyst to get something done.”

Comcast customers in the Chicago area can watch the Cubs on channel 84 and channel 202 for high definition.

If you aren’t a Comcast cable customer, you can stream Marquee Sports Network on Hulu with Live or AT&T TV Now. Read more about the options and how to watch here.

The Cubs’ first game is tonight and airs nationwide on ESPN. Check out the full schedule here.
