Tubi released its August 2025 content lineup this week and one upcoming arrival has caught the eye of classic cartoon watchers. Classic Looney Tunes cartoons are coming to the free streaming service next month.
The Looney Tunes franchise began with animated shorts that originally ran from 1930 to 1969 with titles including Sinkin’ in the Bathtub (1930), I Haven’t Got a Hat (1935) which included the first appearance of Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck’s debut in Porky’s Duck Hunt (1937).
The shorts were originally included in HBO Max’s animated lineup, but were removed in March. The streaming service had already cut over 250 Looney Tunes shorts from 1950 onward and shelved completed projects like Coyote vs. Acme to save money.
Just after HBO Max shared that it would be removing more Looney Tunes content, Tubi announced that its April lineup would include The Looney Tunes Show, which aired from 2011-2013. Now, Tubi is growing its Looney Tunes library with older titles arriving in August.
