Charter’s COVID-19 Response Includes Free Spectrum Broadband, WiFi to Students’ Homes

More and more companies are announcing deals, discounts, and offers in the wake of drastic changes due to the coronavirus outbreak. Charter, one of the nearly 80 companies to sign the FCC’s recent Keep Americans Connected pledge, outlined some of the steps it’s taking, including access to free Spectrum broadband and WiFi for 60 days in qualified homes.

The company said it will also work with local school districts on the use of tools to help students learn remotely. It also pointed out it does not have any data caps to deal with, which can be an issue for those spending more time at home than normal.
