In these numbers, they reported a loss of 122,000 subscribers. That is up from In the 1st quarter of 2017 during which Charter lost 100,00 subscribers. Charter also reported that they added 331,000 internet only customers in the 1st quarter 2018.

Charter though did report that they saw a jump in a per-user revenue up 1.6% to $110.89. Revenue grew 4.9% to $10.66 billion. Well, that may not sound bad at $110.89 it is important to remember that is the total of all Charter customers. That means every customer with their internet the only package at $30 to $80 a month there is a customer paying considerably more.

Charter is just the first of a long list of cable companies that are expected to report heavy losses in the 1st quarter of 2018. We will be posting updates as the official numbers are released.
