Some Changes Are Coming to Our Weekly Cord Cutting Q&A Show

Cutting the cable connection to coax connector illustrating retired people cancelling cable TV serviceIf you don’t already know, our weekly Cord Cutting Q&A show is every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern. During the show, we talk about all things cord cutting from the latest news to answering your cord cutting questions live.

Our Cord Cutting Q&A has grown over the last few months with our weekly live viewership more than doubling. We have also seen a huge increase in the number of viewers watching the recordings.

To keep up with the growth, we are making a few changes.

#1 YouTube Only

Over the last few weeks, we have been hearing reports from Facebook Live viewers that the feed is having issues. Facebook Live viewers are seeing a long list of issues including feeds being cut off and more.

We are unsure if this is because we are trying to cast the feed both on YouTube and Facebook, but YouTube viewers are reporting fewer issues.

So starting this week we will only be broadcasting the show on YouTube. If you follow us on Facebook, consider subscribing to us on YouTube. But don’t worry we will share the link on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Broadcasting on one service will allow us to only have one chat to monitor enabling us to make sure we don’t miss a question. Hopefully, this will offer a better experience for everyone.

#2 New Camera & Lighting

If you saw the show last week, you may have noticed a new camera and lighting. We are still experimenting with the best way to set up the new lighting, but the new camera is already offering a huge improvement in the quality of our stream.

Look for the quality of our videos to continue to improve in the weeks to come.
