CBS Teams Up With Amazon For International Streaming of Patrick Stewart’s New Star Trek Show

Today CBS and Amazon announced a deal to stream Patrick Stewart’s new Star Trek show internationally. Inside the United States CBS All Access will have rights but outside CBS All Access areas the new Star Trek show will stream on Amazon Prime. This is a big win for Amazon as in the past Netflix had international rights to CBS All Access’s Star Trek Discovery.

“We’re thrilled to partner with CBS to bring the newest edition of the storied Star Trek franchise to our international Amazon Prime Video customers,” said Brad Beale, vp worldwide content licensing for Amazon Prime Video. “With the incredible Sir Patrick Stewart returning as the beloved Jean-Luc Picard, we’re excited we can give Trek fans both old and new the opportunity to see him back in action. It’s a terrific addition to our already robust catalog of exclusive Amazon Prime Video content.”

Sadly at this time, no release date for the new Star Trek show has been announced.
