CBS Sports HQ is Now Available on the Amazon News App

The CBS Sports HQ network is now available on the Amazon news app, giving viewers access to CBS Sports HQ’s live news coverage, highlights, and analysis.

“As we continue to build on a period of strong growth, we’re very pleased to expand the distribution of CBS Sports HQ to Amazon’s news app across multiple devices, making our round-the-clock sports news even more widely accessible,” said Jeffrey Gerttula, Executive Vice President and General Manager, CBS Sports Digital.

Viewers can find the Amazon news app on all Fire TV devices and smart TVs. You can also access the app by saying “Alexa, play local news” with the Alexa Voice Remote or from across the room with Fire TV Cube. The app will detect the metro area closest to you, then you can personalize the app to get the type of news you want to see from the sources you prefer. Amazon will then put together a custom playlist based on your preferences.

The Amazon news app added live, local news in December for 12 major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Tampa, Boston, San Francisco and Seattle. Last month, coverage expanded to include 88 markets across the country.

CBS Sports HQ now joins those local feeds, along with national news channels already available on Amazon’s news app, which include ABC News Live, CBS News, Reuters, Cheddar, Entertainment Weekly, Black News Channel, and more.
