CBS Revises Fall Lineup, Adding Paramount+ Content & Yellowstone to the Schedule As Writers & Actors Strike

CBS is bringing a number of shows to its fall lineup. Spots previously slated to feature new series, such as Elsbeth and NCIS: Hawai’I, will be filled by reality series and Paramount+ content due to the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes.

“We’re spending a lot of time looking at research and figuring out which are the ones that A, have the best shot keeping our audience engaged but also that could really help drive awareness,” said CEO and President of CBS George Cheeks, as reported by Deadline.

The decisions have been made and soon, the popular series Yellowstone starring Kevin Costner will start its final season on CBS and Paramount+. Yellowstone will replace The Equalizer on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

SEAL Team is also slated to join the CBS fall lineup at 10:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday nights, having recently been renewed for a seventh season. Before streaming on Paramount+, the series debuted four seasons on CBS. FBI True, FBI, and Evil will flesh out the CBS fall lineup along with the BBC version of Ghosts which will play following repeats of the U.S. rendition.

In addition to reruns and borrowing content from Paramount+’s extensive content library, reality shows make up a good chunk of CBS’ fall lineup. The network had previously announced extended episodes of Survivor and The Amazing Race months ago. Now, Loteria Loca, Buddy Games, and Raid The Cage have been added to the schedule.
