CBS All Access Names New Head of Programming

After the latest earnings call, ViacomCBS has named a new head of programming for their now merged company. Julie McNamara will now serve as executive vice president, head of programming for CBS All Access. Prior to this role, McNamara was in the role of VP of original content.

McNamara will not oversee programming for the platform, including original content along with licensed content and programming from ViacomCBS networks. She will report to ViacomCBS chief digital officer Marc DeBevoise and CBS chief creative officer David Nevins.

Jeff Grossman, formerly SVP of Content Strategy for CBS Entertainment Digital, will be reporting to McNamara in a new role of EVP, Content Strategy and Operations for CBS All Access and CBS Entertainment Digital.

In addition, the company shared two more changes in leadership. Rob Gelick has been named exec VP and general manager streaming services and chief product officer of ViacomCBS. Domenic DiMeglio has moved into the role of exec VP, head of operations and chief marketing officer of ViacomCBS Digital.

These changes in leadership come as ViacomCBS moves forward with plans to expand on CBS All Access, creating a streaming service that will include content from all of the company’s assets including Pluto TV, Nickelodeon, BET, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount Pictures.
