CBS All Access is Rebooting Classic Kids Shows

CBS All Access is building their collection of kids’ content by rebooting a few of the classics. CBS All Access will premiere reboots of Lassie, George of the Jungle and Mr. Magooo January 17. All three are from DreamWorks Animation’s Classic Media. The announcement was made during CBS All Access’ winter TCA Press Tour.

“We’ve seen a tremendous response from our subscribers in just the few months sinceCBS All Access began offering children’s programming,” said Marc DeBevoise, chief digital officer, ViacomCBS, and president/CEO, CBS Interactive. “Bringing new editions of legendary classics like Lassie, George of the Jungle and Mr. Magoo to the service is a fantastic benchmark for CBS All Access, and we look forward to continuing to expand our offering for families.”

These classic reboots will join Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Danger Mouse, Bob the Builder, Inspector Gadget among other shows that were added to the platform in November, ahead of the Viacom merger. “Bringing children’s programming to CBS All Access is a significant step toward providing even more value for our subscribers and now for their children as well,” DeBevoise said at that time.
