CBS All Access Adds Live NFL Games on Mobile Devices

The imaginary stadium is modelled and rendered. The 2018-2019 NFL season will be the first NFL season without Verizon’s exclusive mobile streaming rights. In the past, you needed to use Verizon’s NFL app if you wanted to watch an NFL game on the go through your mobile phone.  This year that contract ended and slowly other companies have been buying up streaming rights to NFL games.

Today CBS announced that they have struck a deal with the NFL to allow their CBS All Access to service to stream NFL games on mobile devices. About a year ago CBS started streaming NFL games on CBS All Access but it was limited to devices like media players and desktop computers. Now CBS has added the ability to stream through mobile devices regardless of what mobile network you are using.

This deal gives CBS rights to your local CBS NFL games on CBS All Access through the 2022 season. This deal does not provide you with access to NFL games that do not air in your market and do not air on CBS. One big question that was not answered is what happens when you travel out of market and want to watch your home NFL game though CBS All Access.

Back in February CBS said their CBS All Access and Showtime streaming services have nearly 5 million subscribers.
