CBS All Access Is Rebooting The “Twilight Zone”

It looks like CBS is hoping to build off of their “Star Trek: Discovery” success with a reboot of “Twilight Zone” for CBS All Access.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new “Twilight Zone” will be directed by Jordan Peele, who also directed Get Out. Marco Ramirez, who worked previously as a showrunner for Netflix’s “The Defenders” and a producer on Daredevil, will join the project.

The report did not say how far the show is into development, but it seems to be coming closer to production.

CBS has recently reported great success with CBS All Access and now seems to want to build off of that success. Reports are coming in that CBS is looking for other original shows for their CBS All Access service that would help them grow the platform. CBS also has announced plans to bring their streaming service to Canada in an effort to expand its footprint and subscriber base.

CBS has already renewed “Star Trek: Discovery” for a second season and says the Netflix deal makes the show profitable even before they air it on CBS All Access.
