You can use your voice to pause the TV, launch a Roku channel, and even use the directional buttons. This will work with Amazon’s Alexa voice service on devices such as the Amazon Echo. You can also use a Google’s Home to control your Roku.

Remember these are currently in beta, and the Alexa skill is still awaiting Amazon’s Alexa Skill Certification. So it may be a few days or more before that goes live to the public; however, today you can use the Google Home service to control your Roku.
This new voice command option will open the Roku player up to a host of Americans who are physically unable to use a remote or phone to control their Roku players.
Roku already has a voice search built into many of its models and available on the mobile app for all of its newer Roku players. With the Roku voice search you can find a wide range of movies and TV shows, and with this app you can control every function of the Roku.
