You Can Now Save a Website to Your Home Screen on the Fire TV

Ever wish you could save a website to your home screen on the Fire TV? With the new Bookmarker app made by AFTVnews, you can do just that.

Now that the Fire TV has a dedicated browser—the new Silk Browser—you can surf the web with your Fire TV. If you add the Bookmarker app, you can save a website to your home screen and launch it with one click (maybe a website such as YouTube after Amazon drops Fire TV support in January 2018…).

When you launch the Bookmarker app, you will be able to enter a website and hit save. After you do that a new icon will show up in your app list on the Fire TV. Now if you click on that new app it will launch the Silk Browser and load the website you entered.

You will need the Silk Browser installed for this to work correctly, but it is a free app you can find in the Amazon app store.

Currently, you are limited to nine bookmarks on your home screen and you will need to install a different app for each app you want.

You can find the Bookmarker app on Amazon HERE.
