Bounce TV Could Soon Be Up for Sale as Its Owners Explore Options

TV Remote

This week CNBC learned that E.W. Scripps, the owners of the Bounce TV network, had hired a bank to evaluate a potential sale of the network.

This comes after a failed effort to sell BET last year by Paramount Global. A deal that may not be completely dead, according to reports.

Bounce TV offers shows like Sherri, Karamo, NCIS New Orleans, In The Cut, and Family Time. Now, like many networks, Bounce is facing a tough ad market and dropping viewership from cable TV networks.

Details are thin but its reported that some of the same buyers that looked at BET are now reaching out to E.W. Scripps to look at options to buy Bounce TV, according to CNBC.

Bounce TV is the 43rd most-watched TV network in 2023, according to Variety. It was also one of only a few networks to not lose viewers that same year. This makes it an interesting opportunity for many potential buyers as most cable TV networks are losing subscribers.

Recently Bounce TV came to Frndly TV making it more easily viewable by cord cutters. It is also available for free over the air with an antenna in many markets.
