Bill Belichick, UNC Football Confirm Hulu Docuseries

A behind-the-scenes look at North Carolina football is coming to Hulu after the team tweeted a video of head coach Bill Belichick breaking the news to his team. Last month, it was reported that a docuseries covering Belichick’s first season with the program was heading to the streamer. At that time, it had yet to be officially announced.

In the video shared by the team, the eight-time Super Bowl-winning NFL coach announces the news to his players. Belichick stated:

“I know that you guys have heard that there is a lot of interest in doing a, let’s call it an in-season-long documentary or season-long show about North Carolina Football. And so I’m excited to share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will showcase our football program. … It’ll stream on Hulu later this fall. It’s going to feature the players working hard, which you guys do. It’s about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do, and the program starting from where it started from seven months ago to wherever it’s going to go through the course of the season, which of course, will be determined on the field, alright. It’ll show our commitment to winning, it’ll show our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.” (H/T 247 Sports transcript)

Previously, Front Office Sports broke the news of the upcoming EverWonder production. The title of the series has yet to be released, but FOS discovered many phrases trademarked by a firm by Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson:

It is not yet known what the new documentary will be called. A firm controlled by Hudson registered trademarks for phrases including “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “Do Your Job: (Bill’s Version),” and “No Days Off (Bill’s Version).”

Earlier, HBO Max seemed to be the favorite to land Belichick’s upcoming series in what would’ve been a reported Hard Knocks offseason project. However, those discussions stalled due to reported creative differences with Hudson.

Now, the Disney-owned Hulu adds the docuseries to a growing list of football-focused projects under the Disney umbrella. The series joins The Kingdom, an ESPN Original six-part docuseries about the highs and lows of the Kansas City Chiefs and their 2024 season.

With the college football season kicking off soon, fans have plenty of choices of where to watch North Carolina football in 2025. Belichick leads his team on the field with their season opener against TCU on Monday, September 1. The Labor Day matchup pits the ACC against the Big 12 right out of the gate, as the teams begin their campaign for a College Football Playoff appearance. For UNC fans, you can stream live North Carolina football games throughout the season and the upcoming docuseries with Hulu + Live TV. New subscribers can try it for three days free at the link below.
