Bally Sports North Has Lost More Than Half of Its Subscribers As Cord Cutting Grows

Earlier this month Bally Sports parent company Diamond Sports, declared bankruptcy now we are getting a better idea of why that is happening. We have known for some time now that Bally Sports has been losing subscribers now we know just how bad the losses really are.

According to a report from the S&P Global Market Intelligence firm Bally Sports North has lost over half of its subscribers over the last 10 years. In 2013 Fox Sports North at the time had about 2.9 million subscribers. Now that number is just 1.2 million subscribers.

This means that cord cutting just in the Bally Sports North market has lost 1.4 million subscribers in just the last ten years. Many of these households have cut the cord cut others have also just lost the channel.

Recently Bally Sports has been dropped by a growing number of streaming and cable providers. Including DISH, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu, and more.

If you are a cord cutter and want to watch Bally Sports your options are very limited. Currently, only DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo offer Bally Sports networks for cord cutters.

Currently, Bally Sports bankruptcy is only just getting started. It is very possible that this could even drag out for years. During this time Bally Sports will continue to operate and air games as long as it has contracts for its content.
