Bally Sports May Lose Another NBA Team To Local Free Broadcast TV

Recently, Bally Sports has lost access to several NBA and MLB teams this year. Now the Dallas Mavericks may be one more team that will drop Bally Sports. This is according to the Maverick’s owner, Mark Cuban, who says he will be looking around at all of their options when the contract ends.

At the Chase for Business Make Your Move summit this week Market Cuban said “Once the contract’s up, we’ll look at all of our options,” to The Dallas Morning News before speaking. He went on to add that he would love to offer the Maverick’s games free streaming online and on broadcast TV but their contract with Bally Sports prevents that.

MLB has also reported that they expect Bally Sports to drop TV rights for one unnamed MLB team this year. This comes as Bally Sports is struggling to find a way out of bankruptcy and dropping some teams is likely part of that plan.

The Mavericks will likely follow the Phoenix Suns plan that brought their games to broadcast TV and a paid-in-market streaming service.

Here are all the teams Bally Sports still has TV contracts with:
