AT&T’s unveiled a new, cheaper data rate plan for its in-car Wi-Fi.

If you’re a new or existing postpaid wireless customer with a Unlimited Starter, Elite, or Premium plan, the mobile carrier said you can add a vehicle for $10 a month plus taxes and fees. AT&T limits each plan to three vehicles.

AT&T’s in-car Wi-Fi is an internet data plan that works with your vehicle’s built-in hotspot and allows passengers to watch movies and play games on multiple devices. As long as your car is running, you can use the Wi-Fi inside or outside.

For families planning on traveling over the holidays, the in-car Wi-Fi might grant a reprieve from every kid’s favorite question: Are we there yet?

You can visit AT&T’s website and enter your vehicle’s VIN number to see if it supports in-car Wi-Fi.

The mobile carrier is also offering four-day ‘test drive’ of in-car Wi-Fi. The promotion runs through December 31.

“We believe in bringing the power of connectivity to every part of our lives, including vehicles,” Hardmon Williams, AT&T’s senior vice president for connected solutions, said in a statement. “Our new in-car Wi-Fi data rate plan redefines the concept of on-the-road connectivity, offering blazing-fast speeds and limitless possibilities for entertainment and productivity.”

In its offer details, AT&T said the service’s performance might vary depending on how many devices are connected. The carrier said if you’ve used over 22GB of data in one billing cycle, it may “slow data speeds on vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot during periods of network congestion.”
