AT&T is shoring up its defenses against cyber crime.
The mobile carrier launched its new automated cybersecurity tool AT&T Dynamic Defense, designed to be a “first line of defense” against digital threats.
AT&T said the tool is embedded directly into a business’s network and can be activated “within minutes.” The tool can detect threats, filter traffic, and execute security controls without extra installation and equipment costs, as well as block threats in real-time.
Cyber criminals are continuously adapting their tactics to exploit new technology. According to a report from Apple, data breaches in the U.S. increased by nearly 20% from 2022 to 2023.
So far this year, Security Discovery uncovered a massive data leak that exposed 26 billion records across dozens of websites. In 2023, Comcast and — for the second time that year — T-Mobile both experienced data breaches as well.
With cyber attack rates climbing, the speed, efficiency, and affordability of AT&T Dynamic Defense could be an attractive option for businesses.

AT&T Dynamic Defense is now available to Dedicated Internet business customers in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, Houston, Texas, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Chicago, Illinois, New York, New York, Cleveland, Ohio, Los Angeles, California, San Francisco, California. A wider rollout is planned for later this year.
