AT&T Wants to Make it Easy For HBO Subscribers to Access HBO Max

HBO MAx logoEarlier this month, AT&T CFO John Stephens spoke at the Citi investor conference, where he gave some more information about the launch of HBO Max. Stephens said that the company wants to make it easy for existing HBO subscribers to sign in to HBO Max with their existing credentials.

“We’re very hopeful. We have a significant number of our own customers and we’re working to make that available to our partners in cable distribution,” Stephens said, according to a report from Fierce Video.

In October, we reported that HBO Max will be free for the 10 million AT&T customers who are already subscribed to HBO. AT&T customers with some newer unlimited plans will also get a free HBO Max subscription.

For those who won’t receive a free subscription, HBO Max will cost $14.99/month when it launches in May 2020. John Stankey, President and Chief Operating Officer of AT&T, has said that the streaming service will offer double the content of Disney+, including content for the entire family.
