AT&T U-verse TV Drops Fusion & El Rey As Rumors of Its Demise Grow

ATT Uverse logoAT&T U-Verse customers are finding that some channels are missing from their normal lineup. Fusion and El Rey Network have both been removed.

This is the message U-Verse customers are finding when they try to tune in.

Our rights to provide Fusion and El Rey Network channels expired on1/23/20. While we no longer offer these two services, we continue to provide many other lifestyle and entertainment services including A+E, AMC, Fuse, IFC, Sundance TV, Syfy, VICE, Univision, and Telemundo, among others.

This change comes just before the nationwide launch of AT&T TV. Last year, we reported that AT&T U-Verse is no longer available for new customers in areas where AT&T TV was initially offered. Current customers were able to continue using their service, but no new customers were able to sign up.

With AT&T TV set to launch across the country next month, it’s possible that U-Verse is letting contracts expire rather than renewing them. That decision would make sense if AT&T plans to move all customers to the new AT&T TV service.

AT&T TV is currently only available in CA: Orange, Riverside | FL: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach | KS: Topeka, Wichita | MN: Minneapolis | MO: St. Louis, Springfield | NY: New York | TX: Corpus Christi, El Paso, Odessa | WA: Seattle, Tacoma, until the service is opened up nationwide.

The service could be available nationwide as soon as February 11.
