AT&T TV NOW’s Updated DVR is Rolling Out This Week

Channel Surfing ManHas your AT&T TV NOW DVR been acting weird? You are not alone as AT&T has been rolling out an update to its DVR.

According to an AT&T software developer on Reddit, AT&T has been migrating its DVR backend platform to a new system this week. The final wave of customers had their DVR moved over earlier this week but the update is far from done.

AT&T had announced this update last month when it informed customers who had the grandfathered 100 hour DVR that they would be losing access to it in November. Now it seems that this update is almost done.

Other AT&T employees have informed to Cord Cutters News that AT&T is still planning on offering a 100-hour DVR add-on. This add-on would allow you to expand your DVR storage as long as you are willing to pay more.

There is still no date on when this new 100-hour DVR add-on that AT&T first announced over a year ago will happen, but apparently AT&T still plans on making that a reality. For now, we will have to wait and see.

AT&T already has an improved DVR running on its AT&T TV service, but to get that DVR you have to agree to a 24 month contract. Hopefully, AT&T finally follows through and brings the DVR add-on that was first announced over a year ago to AT&T TV NOW customers.
