AT&T TV NOW’s 100 Hour DVR Add-On Will Reportedly Launch in November

woman on tabletA few weeks ago, AT&T TV NOW started to contact customers who still had the grandfathered 100 hours of DVR that, starting November 1, their storage would drop to 20 hours.

Back when AT&T started to beta test the DVR feature for DIRECTV NOW (now called AT&T TV NOW), it came with 100 hours of DVR storage. Early beta testers have been able to keep that 100 hours of DVR storage as long as they didn’t make any changes to their plan. Now AT&T has started to inform them that their DVR storage limit will decrease on November 1, 2019.

This started a lot of speculation about the long-awaited and long-promised 100 hours of DVR storage add-on. Cord Cutters News has confirmed with AT&T employees that the new add-on will launch in November.

According to our sources, there is still some debate on the pricing and exact launch date of the new add-on. Reportedly it could be $5 a month or $10 a month. Also, the exact date the add-on will launch is not set in stone yet for unknown reasons and could be once again be delayed.

This is reportedly not the first time AT&T planned to launch this add-on. The 100 hours of DVR storage was first announced in late 2017. The planned launch of the add-on has repeatedly been pushed back. Exactly why the add-on was so delayed is unknown at this time.

The good news is if you want extra DVR storage with AT&T TV NOW you may soon get that option as long as you are willing to pay.
