AT&T TV NOW Subscribers Will Get Free Premium Channels Through April

AT&T has announced that, starting tomorrow, it will make premium channels including Starz, EPIX, HBO, and Cinemax available to subscribers for free.

Deadline reports that starting tomorrow, March 26, AT&T will make the premium content free to DirecTV, U-Verse, AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW customers who aren’t already getting the channels in their regular packages.

The channels will be staggered, offering different channels to subscribers from now until April 20. Starz will be available from March 26 to April 4 (to DirecTV and U-Verse packages only). Epix can be viewed from April 4 to April 16 and HBO and Cinemax from April 17 to April 20.

In addition to giving subscribers free content, AT&T is launching a new ad campaign with the hashtag #ConnectedTogether. The campaign has been designed to promote social distancing to slow the spread of coronavirus. The company says it will replace current advertising with the new message to show the importance of staying connected.

“Movies and television have always been a welcome escape in difficult times. With many people staying at home, we’re giving our video customers additional content at no cost during this time,” the company said on its blog.
